About Us
Pride in North Carolina (Pride) was founded in 1988 and initially provided residential services for children. Pride continued to add service lines for children and adults as the Mental Health system evolved. When residential service evolved to focus more on community-based care and later into more clinically driven services, Pride shifted to meet the needs of the residents of NC by providing evidence-based treatments of care. This ability to change our business model while continuing to grow resulted in an agency that models resiliency to those we serve. The agency has been nationally accredited by CARF since 2011.
In 2016, Pride in North Carolina was acquired by Seaside Healthcare and since that acquisition, has partnered with Seaside Healthcare to expand Prides growth into various cities in North Carolina. Pride in North Carolina continues to provide a continuum of care of services for both children and adults and we value our partnerships with stakeholders on a local, state and national level.
